The project
Context
Halloween is the season for sweets. Every year, candies take everybody's attention across the world, making it hard for salty products to connect with generations that have been celebrating this tradition the same way for a long time.
Idea
In order to add some flame-grilled flavor to a day that has been too sweet for too long, Burger King® Puerto Rico developed a new line of cute little Whoppers® disguised as candy, using the same ingredients as the original burger.
Execution
By inviting people to trick-or-treat at Burger King®’s drive-thrus, so they could get their hands on these delicious candy sized Mini-Whoppers® wrapped in a candy shaped paper, the brand increased its traffic during the season while positioning itself as the king of the new Halloween trick-or-grill.
